Mr. Baba Kalyani, the Chairman & Managing Director of Bharat Forge was conferred an Honorary “Doctor of Science” (honoris causa) by His Excellency the President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday at the 58 th Annual Convocation of IIT Kharagpur and the culmination of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the institute.
The Honorary “Doctor of Science” (honoris causa) was conferred on Mr. Baba Kalyani for his outstanding contribution to Entrepreneurship and for making Bharat Forge a global leader in the forging industry. Also present at the occasion were the Board of Governors and the Senate of IIT Kharagpur.
Mr. Baba N Kalyani, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Forge said, “It is indeed a great honour to be considered worthy of an Honorary Doctorate of Science from the country’s premier center of excellence in education and research and to receive it from His Excellency the President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
