Project Nanhi Kali was initiated in 1996 by the K.C.Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) with the aim of providing primary education to the underprivileged girl children in India. Educated women not only contribute to economy , but also address issues related to population, gender unequality & social evils like dowry system, child marriage, etc. Bharat Forge supports 108 Nanhi Kalis from K.C.Mahindra Education Trust, understanding that a female child , more often than not, is either sidelined to some extent or has a disadvantaged access to quality education.
